Mary Ellen is the author of a children’s book entitled, Drawn Together – A Class Act, which addresses various mental health concerns and shows children how to appreciate each other’s differences.

Mary Ellen Eversman, recently published a children’s book entitled, Drawn Together – A Class Act, which addresses various mental health concerns and shows children how to appreciate each other’s differences. She will have copies of the book available for sale with proceeds going to Family Mental Health Support, located in Effingham.
Family Mental Health Support is a grassroots support organization comprised of local people with mental health experiences within their own families to share with other families. They provide family support through meetings, educational resources and personal experiences.
Mary Ellen Eversman is the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award and the Sisters of St. Francis Award for Distinguished Achievement in Volunteerism. The Illinois General Assembly recognized Ms. Eversam’s many contributions to the community in House Resolution 0557.
