Ghana, known officially as the Republic of Ghana, is a country in West Africa that abuts the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. It is the second most populous country in West Africa with over 32 million inhabitants. If one is curious to learn more about a place like Ghana for either travel, business, or just pure curiosity, only so much can be gleaned from reading books and websites or watching documentaries. Aside from traveling there, the next best way to get a sense of a place is to talk with people from that place.
Students from Eastern Illinois University who are also citizens of Ghana will be on the panel with Effingham High School's Ryan Ervin acting as moderator. They will answer your questions as best they can as well as tell their stories.
